Adoptable GreyhoundsRSS

Here are some pictures of Greyhounds currently living at Greys'Land awaiting adoption.  Keep in mind that Greyhounds do not just come in a variety of colors; they come in a variety of personalities as well.  It is the dog's personality, not its pretty face, that makes for a good or bad fit in your home. Whether you are looking for one that is very active and playful, very calm and docile, or somewhere in between, chances are there is a Greyhound that will fit your lifestyle.

Because of our high turnover, there is no guarantee that any dog on this page is still available. Also, RECENTLY ARRIVED GREYHOUNDS MAY NOT YET BE POSTED TO THIS SITE. YOU CAN ALWAYS CALL US AT 770-469-9533 TO SEE IF THERE ARE GREYHOUNDS AVAILABLE OTHER THAN THOSE SHOWN.

To learn what it is like to live with a retired racing Greyhound, we invite you to visit us at our Meet and Greets and mingle with some of our adoptables as well as talk to current owners.  Just check our schedule to see where we are each weekend. You are also welcome to come out to Greys’Land, the Greyhounds’ home in Stone Mountain, Georgia.  Give Carl a call at 770-469-9533 to arrange an appointment. If you are interested in adopting a Greyhound, please complete our online application form. This form in no way obligates you to adopt; it merely gives us information that will help us guide you to the best dog for your home situation.

LRC SCOTTY ("SCOTTY") ***ADOPTED***

Scotty is a handsome, very "blonde" fellow who was rehomed by AAGA back in 2010. Having been much loved and well-cared-for for the past 4½ years, he was recently returned to us due to financial problems in his adoptive family. He is a happy, friendly, an ...

BLUTOO WHEELER ("WHEELER") ***ADOPTED***

The last of the big "Blutoo Boys" — we recently very successfully rehomed his brothers Aberdeen and Creech — Wheeler is equivalent to the size of a small pony. Racing at a lean 85+ pounds, he will surely top 90 pounds once ensconced in a "forever" home. ...

GS KRISTIN ("KRISTIN") ***ADOPTED***

Kristin is a pretty young lady who is extremely personable. But don't let that charming demeanor fool you. On the track she had no problem keeping up with the big boys. In her over 100 races she was "in the money" 58% of the time and earned 16 performanc ...

MAC'S GIBBS ("GIBBS") ***ADOPTED***

KL'S AMBER ("AMBER") ***ADOPTION PENDING***

Amber came to Jacksonville from the Southland track in Arkansas. However, after less than 3 dozen races, she was retired at just 2½ years of age. She is a petite cutie who is very sweet and affectionate.

EYC FOWLER ("FOWLER") ***ADOPTED***

Fowler is a good-looking guy with big high-standing ears and a broad white chest. Over his career he ran dozens of races and even earned some performance points along the way. But he pretty much had to keep his suitcase packed, as he moved from track to ...

LK'S WHOA NELLI ("NELLI")

ATASCOCITA HOOT ("HOOT") ***ADOPTED***

Hoot is a very handsome fellow with a beautiful face and mascara'd eyes. He also has a small 4" long hunter's crest (sorta like a mane) on the back of his neck. A fairly large boy — he raced at 76 pounds — with a noteworthy pedigree, he was an A and B cla ...

EDSEL OF RUCKUS ("EDSEL") ***ADOPTED***

Edsel is one of those Greyhounds we affectionately refer to as "cow dogs" – a beautifully marked black and white. While we find most black-and-whites to be very active, Edsel is more laid back and well-behaved. In one of his online pictures at the track, ...

This big handsome fellow is very active, outgoing and playful. There is no way you will miss noticing him, and, because of his upbeat nature, becoming very fond of him. We have found him to be a smart boy who is quite obedient when given proper directio ...
