Adoptable GreyhoundsRSS

Here are some pictures of Greyhounds currently living at Greys'Land awaiting adoption.  Keep in mind that Greyhounds do not just come in a variety of colors; they come in a variety of personalities as well.  It is the dog's personality, not its pretty face, that makes for a good or bad fit in your home. Whether you are looking for one that is very active and playful, very calm and docile, or somewhere in between, chances are there is a Greyhound that will fit your lifestyle.

Because of our high turnover, there is no guarantee that any dog on this page is still available. Also, RECENTLY ARRIVED GREYHOUNDS MAY NOT YET BE POSTED TO THIS SITE. YOU CAN ALWAYS CALL US AT 770-469-9533 TO SEE IF THERE ARE GREYHOUNDS AVAILABLE OTHER THAN THOSE SHOWN.

To learn what it is like to live with a retired racing Greyhound, we invite you to visit us at our Meet and Greets and mingle with some of our adoptables as well as talk to current owners.  Just check our schedule to see where we are each weekend. You are also welcome to come out to Greys’Land, the Greyhounds’ home in Stone Mountain, Georgia.  Give Carl a call at 770-469-9533 to arrange an appointment. If you are interested in adopting a Greyhound, please complete our online application form. This form in no way obligates you to adopt; it merely gives us information that will help us guide you to the best dog for your home situation.

CAYENNE SNOW ("SNOW") ***ADOPTION PENDING***

With a name like "Snow", you'd think she'd be white…but she's not, at least not predominately. She's a sweet and lovable petite gal (racing weight – 57 lbs) who was quite the little trooper on the track. As a Class B racer, she was "in the money" more tha ...

IRS QUICK MONEY ("MONEY")

Unfortunately, Money's name was not a reflection of his success on the track. In fact, he never got past the training stage. Although he's a bit on the small side, he sure is beautiful with his classic dark face and expressive eyes. And he's very friend ...

MOON MTN HUNGRY ("HUNGRY") ***ADOPTED***

Hungry is a laid-back, unassuming guy whose coat is more brindle than white. His professional career at the Southland and Melbourne tracks consisted of just a small handful of races. He likes to be petted, and his deep soulful eyes are hard to resist.

Clyde is a relatively small fellow with an impressive big fluffy white chest. He is a somewhat quiet and sensitive boy, but he does like attention. For whatever reason, he never set foot on a professional track.

RAZORGOTSUMCANDY ("CANDY") ***ADOPTED***

Yes, "Candy" is a boy – and a big one at that. Although he is still a pup, having just turned 2 the day before he arrived in Atlanta, he is sweet and well-behaved. His coat is an unusual tri-color, one we've never seen before; some of his spots are black ...

RAZOR WOODS ("WOODS") ***ADOPTED***

RAZORBIGBADWOLF ("WOLF") ***ADOPTED***

Wolf is a really good-looking guy who won't be 2 years old until October. Although his dad holds two of the fastest times ever on a 5/16th track, Wolf never ran even one professional race. He and his brother, Razor Woods, arrived at AAGA together.

M'S FREE QUEEN ("QUEENIE") ***ADOPTION PENDING***

Queenie is a very pretty, dainty, petite young lady who is very affectionate. Because she just never seemed to get the knack of racing – just 27 races to her name – she was retired early. But that becomes the good fortune of the adopter who is able to ...

BOB'S PENSKI ("PENSKI")

Penski is a good-looking fellow – big, friendly and shiny with very few white markings. In fact, he and Junkman, who arrived with him, look almost identical. Penski likes to jump up and down gently to get your attention. His sire was a Tampa Derby winner ...

RAZORLASTCHANCE ("CHANCE")

Chance is a petite, really sweet gal. Still a pup, she never set foot on a racetrack. It appears the speed genes of her successfully racing ancestors just didn't pass down to her. Although she shows an attraction to the kitties and small dogs, we are inc ...

DEVLYN (DEVLYN) ***ADOPTED***

Devlyn is a handsome, young fellow with an energetic and bubbly personality. Although Devlyn just turned 2 years old on 9/11, he is already officially retired and was sent up here to Atlanta to find his "forever" home.
